Update XFly

XFly v8.4 Released

SOCIFLY Team

Dear Users,

We have released XFly v8.4. At the centre of this release is the Tweet from Local Folder source: it can now keep watching your folder, share the files out across your accounts, and post exactly what the preview shows you.

What's New and Improved

📂 Watch Folder (New)

Tweet from Local Folder tasks used to end when the files in the folder ran out. With the new Watch the folder option the task stays open and also posts the files you add to the folder later. Drop content in from your phone or your cloud folder, and XFly picks it up and posts it on its own.

Posted files move, along with their media, into a Posted subfolder inside the folder, and files no account could post move into a Failed subfolder, so a look at the folder tells you what went out. A file is only posted once it has stayed unchanged for 15 seconds, so a large video finishes copying first.

🔀 Each Account Posts a Different File (New)

Until now every account in the task posted every file in the folder. With the new Each account posts a different file option, each file is posted by one account only; the same post never goes out from two accounts.

You choose how the files are shared out:

  • One post per account: Each account posts one file and the task ends. If there are more files than accounts, the rest are shared out on the task's next run.
  • Split the posts across accounts: All files in the folder are divided among the accounts. With 50 accounts and 200 files, each account posts about 4.

If an account cannot post its file, the file goes to another account; up to 3 accounts try each file. Posted files are remembered, so they are not posted again even if you restart the task. The option also works together with Watch the folder: in that case a file moves to Posted as soon as one account has posted it.

🖼️ Local Folder: What the Preview Shows Is What Gets Posted

The folder preview and the task matched files by different rules. For example, the preview showed holiday_2.jpg next to holiday.txt, while the task posted it as a separate post with no text. Both now follow the same rule.

Also:

  • On a temporary problem such as a dropped connection, a spam wait or an account lock, the file is no longer skipped; it is retried once the problem clears.
  • .mov files upload as video and .gif files as animated GIFs.
  • Up to 4 media of any type are attached to a post; the rest are skipped and noted in the log.
  • Files whose text is over the character limit are reported with a clear message before any media is uploaded.

⏱️ Account Startup Delay in Tweet Tasks

The Account Startup Delay setting, which keeps accounts from acting at the same moment, was missing from Tweet Tasks. It can now be set there too. We recommend it especially when sharing files out across accounts, so the accounts do not post in the same second.

▶️ Fixed Issues

  • X changed how search results are paged, so tasks built on the hashtag, search results and explore sources, including deleting your own tweets, stopped after the second page. Tasks now carry on to the following pages.
  • On some accounts, especially ones whose posts go back many years, the posts shown on the profile never reached tasks. These accounts' posts are now read.
  • We fixed the issue causing the connection test and model list to fail with the Claude (Anthropic) provider. We also fixed the issue causing all tweet, comment and DM generation to fail with newer Claude models.
  • We fixed the issue causing the Account Startup Delay to be ignored when active hours began, with every account acting in the same second. After the hourly budget fills, accounts now also resume spread over a few minutes rather than all at once.
  • We fixed the issue causing the application to close suddenly while processing certain posts.
  • We made various performance and stability improvements.
  • We fixed other reported issues.

Your feedback and bug reports continue to guide us in improving our product. Thank you for your support and contributions.

Kind regards,
The SOCIFLY Team
